Blanche (nee Crosby) O’Brien, 85, of Wadsworth passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. She was born July 3, 1935 in North Chicago and was a lifelong area resident. Blanche was a member of Village Church of Gurnee and retired as executive secretary of O’Brien Heating and Cooling after many years of service. She is survived by her husband, George O’Brien, they were married December 19, 1953 at Immanuel Baptist Church; children, John (Janet) O’Brien, Sandy (Paul) Mattson, Thomas (Michele) O’Brien, Gary (Lisa) O’Brien; grandchildren, Greg (Katie) O’Brien, Meghan (Scott) Patera, Kellie O’Brien, David (Megan) Mattson, Daniel Mattson, Amanda (Andrew) Moffitt, Stephanie (Jake) Augenstein, Colin (Carolyn) O’Brien, Kaitlyn O’Brien, Kyle (Val) O’Brien, Kristen O’Brien; great grandchildren, Erin, Jack, Ellie, Brin, Makayla, Zeke, Gavin, Quinn, Liza, Rueben and Maeve Blanche. Blanche was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She, along with her husband George, loved the Lord Jesus Christ above all. They embodied generosity, service and provided an excellent example of godliness to their family and all who knew them. They diligently studied the Bible and prayed for many people each morning and evening. Blanche’s captivating smile and tenderness are hallmarks of our memories of her. Memorial service will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the Village Church of Gurnee 1319 Hunt Club Rd. Gurnee, Illinois with Rev. David Giese, Rev. Brandon Smith and Rev.
