Joan Marie Dehmlow

Joan (nee Dailey) Dehmlow, 90, of Waukegan, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was a lifelong resident of Waukegan.
Joan was very active in Waukegan’s Catholic churches, she helped promote special education programs in Lake County and was active in democratic politics.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John Edward Dehmlow; children, Elizabeth, Ann (Raymond) Chalupka, Margaret (Brian) Jones, Beppo John Dehmlow (their son who passed soon after birth in September 1965), Catherine (Lee) Stout, Mary Dehmlow and John Joseph Dehmlow; five grandchildren, Sabrina (Samuel) Morgan, Sylvia and Samantha Stout, Sarah and Nick Jones.
Joan is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Leo and Mabel (nee Kothan) Dailey as well as her siblings Mercedes Smythe, Virginia Clennon, Leo (Bud) Dailey and Vincent Dailey.
Services and interment will be held at a later date.
