Lavaughn J. Myrant

Lavaughn J. Myrant (nee Johnson) passed away peacefully at Terrace Nursing Home on August 18, 2017 at age 97.
She was born July 16, 1920 in York, North Dakota.
Lavaughn married George Pershing Myrant on March 24, 1940. Resident of Waukegan since 1940. Owner of Myrant Drug and Myson Hobby Shop which adjoining businesses on Grand Ave in Waukegan where she did all the bookkeeping for both businesses while her husband handled the filling the prescriptions.
Lavaughn was active in cub scouts, boy scouts and active on the Whittier PTA board as an advisor and sponsor of many clubs and events. She continued to remain active in the community volunteering to be a poll worker for whenever possible.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Patricia Myrant; grandsons, Kevin and Keith; great grandchildren Justin, Samantha, Sabrina and Jill. One brother-in-law and several sisters-in-law.
Lavaughn was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Thomas Myrant.
Funeral services will be private. Interment will be at Northshore Garden of Memories in North Chicago.
