Mark Ellis Walker

Mark Ellis Walker, 44, of Waukegan passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016 at Hospice Alliance House in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born December 6, 1971 in Wichita, Kansas and was a long time Waukegan resident.
Mark was a member of St. Patrick Parish in Wadsworth and was an avid baseball, hockey and NASCAR fan.
He graduated from Waukegan West High School in 1990 where he was a standout baseball player.
Mark was a Safety Officer for Waukegan School District #60 at the Brookside Campus for the last six years and also was a past assistant coach for the Waukegan High School baseball team.
He is survived by his aunts, Linda (John) Schueneman of Wadsworth, Jackie (Gary Pierre) Prues of Glenview, Nola (Frank) Martin of Nebo, North Carolina; cousins, Shane (Meredith) Schueneman of Wadsworth, Matt Schueneman of Zion, Geoff (Lisa) Christophersen of Lake Zurich, Kelly (Brandon) Shilts of Kenosha and by numerous other cousins and close friends.
Mark is preceded in death by his father, John Walker on August 10, 2000 and Barbara Jean Walker on May 24, 2015.
Funeral mass will be 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at St. Patrick Church (main church) 15000 Wadsworth Rd., Wadsworth. Interment will be private at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to time of mass at the church.
