Ted Brooks Mitchell

Ted Brooks Mitchell, 67, of Waukegan passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, December 21, 2017. He was born January 1, 1950 in Herrin, Illinois and has been a long time Waukegan resident. Ted served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era and retired from Westvaco Co. after 35 years of service.

He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen (nee Lynch) Mitchell; sons, David B. Mitchell of Mesa, Arizona, Joseph B. (Kelly Ong) Mitchell of Waukegan; sisters, Pamela Joyce (Dennis) Gordon of Waukegan, Melissa Jane Clark of Libertyville; many nieces and nephews and his dog, Wylie.

Ted is preceded in death by his parents, Jack Brooks and Betty Jane Mitchell.
Celebration of life gathering will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Club Tiki 3500 Sunset Ave. Waukegan. Interment will be private.
